Learning Contract
|
1. The student will:
- Take responsibility for ensuring they know and understand what is required for successful completion of the programme
- Make their workplace mentor aware of the particular nature, subjects, and demands of the programme
- Apply them-self to their studies and assessment, by attending The Ananda Spa Institute at the allocated times and to carry out all other self-directed learning/studying on the allocated Reading/study days and as required
- Respect the possible need for confidentiality regarding information gained in the workplace in support of their studies
- Keep their work place mentor and the programme leader informed of any relevant problems while doing the programme
- Take their own responsibility for their own learning and development.

2. The Teacher will:
- Be aware of the particular nature of the programme which the student is following and communicate this information to all staff who will be associated with the learning of the student during work time
- Identify and allocate a workplace mentor responsible for the student for the length of the programme
- Ensure that the student is able to attend The Ananda Spa Institute, or to study on the allocated day as per programme and ensure that any reasonable additional study time is available, as required
- Support the student with his/her work based learning and to allow him/her reasonable access to areas of the organisation's activity or information to fulfil his/her work based learning, studies and assessment commitments

Endeavour to provide as wide a range of experience as possible in support of their studies

Facilitate the use of a PC if necessary

Allow the programme leader to visit the student if required to discuss aspects of his/her work-based learning.

3. The Programme Leader will:
- Provide the student with guidance and support throughout the length of the programme.
- Monitor the progress of the student throughout the programme
- Ensure that the student's work mentor is aware of the programme requirements and their responsibilities
- Liaise with the work mentor regarding aspects of the programme and the progress of the student
- Organise work visits as and when required
- Organise the induction week liaising with other members of the programme team
- Ensure that all aspects of the programme are delivered effectively and meet the expectations of the student and employer.

Student Charter
|
1. The student will:
- All students will be required to maintain a professional attitude and conduct at all times
-
Misuse of published rules and regulations may be grounds for disciplinary action leading to dismissal.

Use of drugs and / or alcohol on the Institute's (ASI) property is not tolerated
-
Foul language of any kind will not be tolerated and may be grounds for disciplinary action leading to dismissal.

Insubordination to a tutor, fellow student, member of staff or client may be grounds for disciplinary action leading to dismissal.

Correct uniform and grooming is essential for all students at all times, whether at the Institute (ASI) or associated locations
- The students of the Institute (ASI) takes pride in and care of:
- the institutes' environment
- The buildings
- The grounds
- Careful disposal of litter in an environmentally friendly way
- The students of the Institute (ASI) practices the following principles:
- Treat one another with politeness, courtesy and respect
- Strive to become involved in every aspect of the institute's life
- Always be punctual
- Remember to bring all your necessary equipment (where applicable), books etc to the lectures and lessons
- Complete all course work, studies on time
- Help keep the Institute's environment clean and tidy so that it is a welcoming place of peace and beauty
- Think about your own safety and that of others at all times
- Be responsible for / and aware of your own actions at all times
